AB - This study explores the ways to upgrade the services of the special libraries and information centers and strengthen their competitiveness. First, this study examines the characteristics of the special libraries and information centers and the competitive environments which they face. And this study considers the possibilities to make use of Knowledge Management(KM) and Competitive Intelligence(CI) in special libraries and information centers in Korea. Finally, this study provides the management strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of the special libraries and information centers in Korea.
