AB - 139 -This study aims to investigate the problems in conducting the first year project of a five-year school library revitalization project and to suggest the alternative to the present system for the following years. The method of evaluation was to visit the 16 local ministries of education and to interview the government school inspectors, school principals, teachers-in-chief, teacher librarians and parents. The evaluation was conducted based on the following criteria; school library facilities and increase in collection, enrichment of education program through school library, location of manpower and enhancement of profession and building the cooperation system with the private and public sectors. Additionally, school library service training and library support system were evaluated.
