AB - The purpose of this study was to identify research trends on librarians’ behaviors(LB) in Korea. 163 papers were selected in four representative journals published in Korean LIS, 1970-2015. The papers were analyzed in terms of period, journal, theme, purpose of research, research method, areas, type of author. The findings are as follows. 1) LB of University library were 28.8% and then that of public library were 26.9%. 2) Organizational behaviors of librarians were 52.7%, and then work behaviors were 31.9%. 3) Purposes of research were to examine librarians’ perception (52.7%) and then to improve of current state of libraries(41.1%). 4) Quantitative research method was heavily found(82.2%). 5) Research purpose on LB of University library was related to identify perception of librarians, and that of Public library was related to improve current state of libraries. It discussed four strategies for sustaining growth of LB study aspect of research subject, research purpose, research method, and editorial strategies of four journals.
