AB - In the library catalog, the scalability of information acquisition can be guaranteed by expressing various relationships existing between resources. Such a bibliographical relationship can be realized through the authority record. Therefore, the revision of 「KORMARC Format for Authority Data」, the national standard for authority records, is inevitably important. Therefore, for the revision of 「KORMARC Format for Authority Data」, (1) the latest international cataloging trends were analyzed, (2) the opinions of librarians were collected, (3) internal guidelines used for authority work were analyzed, and (4) latest version of MARC21 were analyzed. In addition, for the continuous revision of 「KORMARC Format for Authority Data」, the revision procedure of MARC21 was investigated to draw implications for the KORMARC revision method. Data was collected and utilized through literature reviews, MARC21 analysis, interviews with professors and librarians.
