The questionnaire with 40 items consists of questions regarding knowledge of English, instruction skill, evaluation, interaction skill, personality of the teacher. The findings showed significant differences in 21 items out of 40 between teacher and student group. In addition, the results indicated that the teachers and the students had different opinions and attitudes towards the characteristics of effective teachers.
