Aims and Scope

Informatization Policy(ISSN 1598-3498) is published quarterly (in March, June, September and December) by the National Information Society Agency (NIA), Korea(www.nia.or.kr).

NIA, established in 1987, is the leading government agency for implementing national informatization policy and has played a central role in the development and deployment of information technology in Korean government and the public sector.

Informatization Policy, a quarterly journal launched by NIA in 1994, has significantly contributed to Korea’s rapid informatization efforts with a central focus on IT policy implementation. Since 1994, it has emphasized its academic quality by expanding the number of contributions and by reinforcing the review process. Informatization Policy has been reviewed by Korean Research Foundation (KRF) and was registered in KRF index in 2005. Starting from 2003, it will open an opportunity for foreign authors to contribute for its global recognition.

Informatization Policy welcomes articles in all areas of the impacts of information technology upon politics, economy, and society including its application, which would have implications on national informatization policy. Informatization Policy has multidisciplinary perspectives. In Informatization Policy, you will find theoretical and empirical research reflecting wide range of disciplines including public policy, economics, sociology, political science, law, management information system, computer science.
