ABSTRACT

This is a result of an interdisciplinary research on the theme of An Analysis of Confucian Mind Model in Ye(禮) Education and its Psychological and Educational Application to the Cultivation of Moral Personality and Ye Practices for Korean Juveniles. The interdisciplinary work related with Philosophy to the Korean Confucianism, Cultural Psychology, and Pedagogy. This research has some targets as follow. The first is to construct and present Korean people’s Mind-model on the viewpoints of Korean philosophy and cultural psychology. As the result we can get a three dimensional mind model of Korean people’s. The second, from contemporary Korean juvenile’s minds and their phenomena we tried to extract data correspondent to the mind model. So the results can back that our mind model can be right to understand contemporary Korean’s minds and useful to make a moral- educational program. The third is to make a moral-educational program and carry out an experiment on the group of primary school students for 10 weeks. From the experiment we have got the data which implied the possibility of effective practice of the educational program.
