ABSTRACT

Ch. Perelman revives the Rhetoric, so called the New Rhetoric. He reinterprets the dialectical reasons which was devaluated by scholars. In other words, on studying about Aristotle's Rhetorica, the scholars have limited Aristotle's rhetoric on the analytic reasons such as the formal reasons, but Perelman converted this direction of analytic reasons for the dialectical reasons which depend on the Universal Audience. The aim of dialectical reasons is to persuade of the Universal Audience. On the course of reinterpreting the Aristotle's Rhetorica, Perelman make the new sense and category under Universal Audience, and consequently he come to extend his discourse of rhetoric to the scientific knowledge. In addition, Perelman lead to achieve the argument from the actual reality in which we live. That is the reason why he tries to examine his rhetorical idea for domains, such as the law, the literature, the philosophy, and the politics. After all, we lead to make a conclusion the two consequences: firstly, the New Rhetoric aim to the philosophy which harmonizes the theory and the practice, an individual and the society; secondly, the New Rhetoric brings up the possibility of dialogue between sciences. Therefore, the New Rhetoric will be comprehended as a guide map for the new direction of the philosophy and the society.
