AB - There are two linkage/convergence standards for analyzing the supporting structure of arguments, that is, the standards of supporting degrees and relevance. The linkage/convergence distinction should involve our intuitions related to the concepts of linkage and convergence while possibly excluding the evaluation elements so as to properly function as instrument of argument analysis. It is claimed that the relevance standard could satisfy such requirements relatively better than the supporting degrees standard.
