AB - 現在、韓國人の生活のなかで多く使用されている日本語系原音語彙は、日帝時代の副産物と見られる。その間政府と學界、民間では各種の國語醇化運動を展開し、多くの成果を上げている。とはいえ、光復60年を迎える今日でも韓國人の言語生活の中で原音そのままの日本語を聞くことは、それほど珍しいことではない。
このような狀況の中で本硏究は、韓國人が認識しにくい日本語系原音語彙と日本経由の外來語を中心として、これらの語彙が韓國語に混ざっている理由は何か、またその傾向はどのようなものかについて考察した。
その結果をまとめると、以下の通りである。
①日本経由の外來語の中で「テレビ」は日本式省略型英語の類型に分類され、これらの類型は大部分英語本來の發音がそのまま保持されていることが多い。そのため韓國人には日本を通して入ってきた外來語であるという意識がかなり薄い。これに對して、「スリッパ」のような英語本來の發音と確然と區別できる語彙は、日本語または日本式英語として明確に認識される傾向にある。
②「無鐵砲」,「くもり」,「あっさり」,「勾配」,「ゆとり」のように發音と意味から來る語感が、韓國語を連想することができたり、韓國語の「-하다(-hada)」を添加させることができたりする語彙は、韓國人に日本語として認識されにくい。
③「きず」のように意味範疇で韓國語と微妙な違いがあったり、「スリッパ」や「slipper」のように意味分化を起こしたりする語彙は、たとえこれらの語彙が日本語から由來するという事實を知っていても、韓國語で代替して使用しにくい。
本硏究では、調査の特性上、限定された語彙とわずかな被調査者でその傾向と結果を出していることが問題点として指摘できる。しかし、韓國社會における日本語系原音語彙の使用動向について具体的に調査し、微視的に考察したことに本硏究の意義がある。今後の韓國の言語政策の立案に必要な基礎資料になることを期待したい。
