AB - 本稿では、日本語の時間副詞「いきなり、不意に、突然、だしぬけに、にわかに」を類 義語関係の中で、意味・用法を考察した上で、それに対応する韓国語の時間副詞 「Gabjagi、Neudateobsi、Dolyeon(hi)」と比較·考察することによって、日本語と韓国語の 時間副詞が持つ意味・用法を多面的に考察することができた。 その結果をみると、日本語と韓国語の時間副詞は、事象の生起に関わる「―シハジメル」・ 「―シダス」・「-hagisizakhada」と共起して、ある事象の生起局面を表し、事象の開 始、状態の変化の生起・開始が極めてわずかな時間のうちに起こったことを表す。また、それ らの事態が、予期・予想できず、前触れもなかった唐突な事態であったことを表すという共通点 を持つ。相違点をみると、「いきなり」・「にわかに」・「不意に」は過程性を持ち、「突 然」と「だしぬけに」は非過程性を持つ。表現の焦点をみると、「いきなり」と「だしぬけに」 は、行為をした人に焦点があり、「不意に」は、無意志動詞に掛かって、事態の発生を受け 止めた人に焦点がある。「にわかに」は、受動的、あるいは自然推移的な事態の急激な変 化に用いられ、「突然」は、意志的な行為、無意識行為、自然現象のいずれも可能で、あ る瞬間に成立する動作・作用・現象に掛かり、幅広く用いられる。また、「いきなり」、「だ しぬけに」、「不意に」は事態の主観的な把握に基づいて、意外性、想定外を表し、主観 性を持つ。それに対して、「突然」と「にわかに」は客観的に把握し叙述するため、客観性 を持つ。韓国語の時間副詞「Gabjagi、Neudateobsi、Dolyeon(hi)」は、意志的な行 為、無意識行為、自然現象のいずれも可能で日本語の時間副詞と違って、三語とも幅広く用 いられている。「Gabjagi」、「Neudateobsi」は過程性を、「Dolyeon(hi)」が非過程性 を持ち、主観性には「Gabjagi」、Neudateobsi」が、「Dolyeon(hi)」は客観性を持 つ。
