AB - Recent previous studies on Abe Kōbō (1924-1993) tend to argue about the relationship between Abe and other media such as playwrights or movies. On the other hand, this article discussed about Abe’s acceptance of music. Abe wrote about Pink Floyd, a British rock band in UK, in his novel Kangaroo Notebook (1991). He adapted Pink Floyd in the viewpoint of the history of “music concrete.” He accepted such electronic music under the influence of postmodernist such as Karatani Kōjin (1941-).
