ABSTRACT

The study seeks the trend of power for couples in multicultural families with international marriages. There are resource theory, exchange theory, and network theory. Resource theory or exchange theory could have been used to explain traditional marital power relations. There are many different situations now, so there are different theories. In this study, we approached the basis theory based on the perceptions and experiences felt from the perspective of a married immigrant who lives in a foreign country as an international marriage. According to the analysis, regardless of the power type of couples, couples have a positive relationship when they are satisfied with happiness. It is interpreted that forming relationships is more important, although Korean culture, politics and economy can not be ignored among.
