ABSTRACT

This study developed a dream search activity through career club activities for multicultural students attending elementary school. Elementary school career education has four major areas. This study aims to help students learn the basics of self-understanding and career exploration after understanding the actual situation of multicultural students. For this purpose, “Jinro Tantan and Career Basic Education Program” was used. Also, to help the emotional part, I read picture books at the same time. Ten people participated in the club activities from May to October. At first, I did not recognize what club activities were doing, but as I participated in the activities, I was able to express what I liked and how I felt. Also, I had time to think about what kind of job I had and what kind of job I would have when I grew up. Although the club activitiy period was not long, I could see that the students' thoughts were growing in the process of finding what they liked, what they were good at little by little, and exploring their career path through experience. In the future, multicultural students should be provided with many opportunities to explore their interests and aptitudes and develop their ability to search for job information. Through self-understanding and career exploration, it is necessary to help them design and plan their own career path. This will become a resource for the upcoming future society.
