AB - This study presents necessity of extending the period of stay through the status of sojourn and current state of foreign workers, and analyzes the necessity of family migration due to the long-term stay of foreign workers and the problems and effects associated with it. Foreign workers entering the country under “Employment Permit System” are short-term rotational replacement workers who have to return to their home countries after a short period of time. In the present, the meaning of short-term cycle replacement has faded. It is time to improve “Family Immigration System” considering the actual status of stay of foreign workers.
