ABSTRACT

Exostosis is generally observed as a benign osseous growth arising from the epiphysis or metaphysis of long bones, and its occurrence in the diaphyseal region of the limbs is rare. This study anatomically reports two atypical cases of exostosis observed in the diaphysis of the tibia and radius. Both cases were found in formalin-fixed cadaveric specimens used for educational purposes. The locations and characteristics of the lesions were analyzed through gross examination and length measurements. The bony projections were located in the mid-to-upper region of the left tibia and the mid-diaphyseal region of both radii. These cases demonstrate the possibility of exostoses occurring in unusual locations and highlight anatomical variability. Therefore, recognition of such anatomical variations may serve as a valuable reference for diagnostic decision-making and surgical planning in clinical practice.
