ABSTRACT

아동의 불안에 대한 부모의 신념(PBA-Q), 아동 불안, 척도 This study translated and validated of the Parental Beliefs About Anxiety Questionnaire (PBA-Q), originally developed by Francis and Chorpita (2010) into Korean. Data from 529 mothers raising children aged 4–10 years were analyzed using item analysis, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results indicated that the Korean PBA-Q (child version) was restructured into a 2-factor, 13-item model comprising “Emotional Vulnerability regarding Child's Anxiety (F1)” and “Health Anxiety regarding Child's Somatization (F2),” which differed from the original 4-factor structure. SEM confirmed that PBA significantly mediated the transmission of parental anxiety to children's internalizing problems. Specifically, F1 showed significant positive effects on a range of internalizing problems, including social anxiety, through parenting behaviors, whereas F2 exhibited a small negative direct effect on children's obsessive-compulsive symptoms, suggesting that the direction of influence on children’s symptoms may differ depending on the sub-factors of parental beliefs. This study provides a valid instrument for measuring parental anxiety-related beliefs in Korea and offers an empirical basis for cognitive interventions targeting irrational parental beliefs in the treatment of childhood anxiety타당화, 구조방정식모형(SEM)
