ABSTRACT

Since the portal’s news service, how supply and consumption of online news is undergoing some changes? This question is included with the academic interests. Previous researches have mainly explored portal features or agenda-setting effect of the online news media. However, they have not almost analyzed consumption patterns of the portal services and news feeds. In this respect, this study is to elucidate the following three issues. First,this study analyze service trend and centralization level of portals as facilitating factors of online news effect. Second, this study analyze specific gravity of the news section and discusses portal’s influence. This study analyzed readers’ use behavior of the portal service and news section between the socio-economic groups. In order to explore these issues, we mobilize traffic analysis and draw some implications.
