ABSTRACT

It is hard to find a research works, aiming at employment policy, particularly the relationship between labour market and job creation system in Africa. Nigeria is the one which we really have to look at due to its scale of economy and potential economic development in near future. Furthermore, the study of Nigeria should be encouraged as not only considering as economic partner but also providing a useful informations for Korea private company, preparing to advance Nigeria. This paper evaluates the connection between Nigeria economic policy and international development cooperation program through the labour market and employment situation and later, diagnosis how the youth job opportunity emerges. The promotion of SMEs is the good solution for expansion of job opportunity for youth. The way to maintain sustainable economic development in Nigeria, this paper suggests comprehensive and interdependent policy among job creation growth, labour market linked VET (Vocational Education and Training), and ODA.
