AB - 庾信由於梁朝滅亡, 羈留北方, 屈仕於西魏和北周. 他從南朝轉到北朝, 改變了的生活、環境, 影響到他的思想人格. 他的一生始終拳拳服膺儒家思想, 惟至其晩年偶有歸隱向佛求仙等思想出現,於此可見境遇的逼迫與心態的變化, 對文人思想可能産生的影響. 他對蕭梁、北朝政權的態度, 思想與行動充滿矛盾, 感情十分複雜. 歸納起來, 大致上不離眷戀、哀悼、慙愧、批評、譴責、危懼六種. 他經歷沈淪迷惘痛苦自省後, 在後期作品中顯現了情感化的節操意識, 時而傾訴失節之因、失節之辱、失節之苦、失節之悲,時而抒寫自我補救、自我解脫的希冀和絶望. 由此可知, 動亂易代時, 懦弱苟活的讀書人, 旣不敢死又不願降的悲哀和矛盾. 評價歷史人物, 是個複雜的問題, 尤其對歷史遺留的‘貳臣’、‘失節’等的問題, 不能簡單化, 也不能用後代的觀點去苛求, 由於對失節的觀念, 古今不同. 囿於時代和環境的局限, 庾信的處世態度和政治品質, 遠非盡善盡美、無可非議, 但不能因此就全般否認或貶斥他人格和文學成就. 作者的社會出身和人生經歷, 誠然補助說明作者及作品的態度與意識形態, 但是却不能視爲決定性因素.
