AB - 這篇文章的主要着眼點在“勢”和西方格式塔(Gestalt)美學理論的“結構”形式。“勢”是由理、氣等構成的一个整體結構。西方Gestalt理論的主要內容也是“結構”。Gestalt理論認爲,客觀自然之間、客觀自然和人的知覺之間都有“異質同構”的結構關係。Gestalt就是“結構”的意思。Gestalt裏面常有內在衝突、矛盾和動力,那就是張力。人在鑑賞藝術品,特别是讀一首詩的時候,能感覺到它的藝術境界,這種藝術境界就是從藝術品裏的張力産生出來的。這種審美效果叫“格式塔質(Gestalt qualities)”。
就存在論來說,“勢”是由神、理構成的,理是氣的理,“理”和“勢”也有不可能分開的關係。因此,“勢”一定反映著天地自然的運用原理、規律。“勢”、“理”、“氣”等之間具有某種結構關係。這是“勢”的一个結構,卽Gestalt。把具有這種意義的“勢”運用於詩歌評論上,又産生另一个結構。王夫之曾經說過:“勢者,意中之神理也”。在這裏,“勢”是指在作者主觀意圖中蘊藏著的奥妙、不可測的客觀規律,這種規律使作品産生符合作品固有特性的獨特意境。這種與衆不同的意境,就是詩歌意象的神妙之“力”。“作者的創作意圖”裏面已經有了一个結構,就是自然的客觀規律和主觀情趣之間的內在衝突、矛盾。另外,“創作對象”、“主觀意圖”和“形象結果物”之間也有另一个結構。結構中有不斷的內在衝突、矛盾、動力。這種結構的內在衝突、矛盾、動力,卽張力,就是在鑑賞、評價詩歌的時候引起審美效果的主要原因。詩論家評詩歌作品時經常用“勢”來評價。比如說,“萬里之勢”、“斂勢”、“收勢”、“忍勢”、“餘勢”、“止勢”、“養勢”、“留勢”這些評語裏的“勢”,指的就是詩歌作品裏的張力,而“斂”、“收”、“忍”等等,指的就是如何調整這種張力。使結構達致平衡,“勢”表現出生動、含蓄之感。
總之,本論文注重“勢”的結構形式,因此主要借用西方Gestalt美學理論, 來論述古代文論傳統中的“勢”的內在結構和審美效果。
