AB - 從日本進口的人力車,經由香港、上海(1874),1886年才最終出現在北京的街道上。人力車一出現,便成爲爭議的對象。轎子或馬車最爲進步的東西雖然得到了承認,但用人來馱人,拉人卻成爲人類進步中的退步,作爲榨取的象征留下深深的烙印,一直延續到中國 5・4運動時期。人力車曾經作爲東亞,包括中國、韓國、日本的都市市民的代替兩腳行走的交通手段。日帝強占時期,韓國在日本的留學生,爲了掙學費,曾拉過人力車,清朝滅亡後,滿洲旗人中在生存的壓力下,也被迫靠拉人力車來維持生存,甚至因爲生存,有的女性假扮男裝,從事男人都深感吃力的重勞動。東亞都市市民有相當數量的人是人力車夫的後代。本論文中,不僅僅闡述所謂的“人力車夫”這類登場人物,還探索文學作品的背景所構成的地理空間之間的關系,即從‘文學地理學’(literary geography)的角度,考察都市媒介的人力車以及追隨人力車,審視北京、上海、京城的風景線。還考察隨著交通手段的近代化,人力車退出的過程以及都市貧窮文學和人力車的關系。21世紀人力車還有嗎?不會已經是陳列在博物館裏的東西了吧?但實際上現代化的都市市中心仍然有人力車在奔走著,正如大家看到的,在吃力地奔走著。記憶的力量直到現在爲止一直無窮無盡地持續著奔湧而來。如果去中國的大都市和名勝之地看看的話,街道上擺放著用青銅或鐵制造的過去‘人力車夫’的雕像,以此來吸引遊客,成爲合影照相的對象。過去爲了維持生存而拉的人力車已經成爲複古的文化商品。北京的‘胡同遊’,越南的三輪車旅遊,日本東京淺草人力車已經成爲市區旅行的特色。首爾的某飯店,用人力車拉客人來飯店,成爲新出現的拉客的媒介。現代版的‘祥子’,‘金僉知’,‘阿金’等後代們正沉迷於雕像的遺物之中。對於這些,更需要細致的跨學科分析和研究,作者的視角(通過審視、聆聽、閱讀和書寫),人力車客人的視角(乘坐、討價、蠻橫、本國人和外國人的民族沖突),人力車夫的視角(拉、討錢、擦),文化地理的視角(短途、長途),本國語(方言)和外國語表達力,人力車夫的衣食住,家庭的生存問題等多角度的分析和整理,成爲筆者的任務。
