AB - 這篇文章的主要硏究目的在於考察中國傳統詩學發展史中“興”的演變過程, 以此探討“興”範疇的詩學槪念發展趨勢和其在中國文學批評史上的意義。有關語源,從已知最早的甲骨文中可知“興”字是象形字。從字形来看, “興”表示衆手共同擧起一物。“興”從最早一般動詞的意味卽“起”開始,經過“比興”託喻之辭, 演化爲感興寄託與“文已盡而意有餘”的内涵。歷代以来,“興”義從一般動詞的“興起”、“發端”與“引起”等義發展爲“譬喻”義。此“譬喻”義又再分爲作爲單純修辭義與着重於政治教化的“美刺”義的“隱喩”。漢代經學家鄭玄將“興”解釋爲“譬喻”, 而且把它與詩歌的美刺聯繫起来, 解釋爲政治教化的内容, 是與在解讀傳統儒家經典時, 受到以“獨尊儒術”爲主的漢代政治主張的影響不無關係的。後來, 經過魏晉南北朝, “興”義逐漸具備了作爲詩學範疇的内外在條件, 向成熟的詩學範疇邁進。隨着魏晉南北朝文學的自覺與審美意識的覺醒, “興”所含有的文學藝術色彩逐漸濃厚起来。此意味着“興”義開始向多義性與複合性的趨勢發展。從創作對象的角度來說, “興”範疇唱導觸物而感; 從作者主觀方面來說, 提倡寓意寫意; 從主客觀合一的作品層面來說, 則倡擧意在言外、回味無窮的審美境界。此三重意義, 渾然融化成爲文學創作的基本範疇, 是古代文化特質在美學上的滙聚, 充分展現了古代文藝與人生的互相統一的傳統。總之, “興”是中國傳統藝術理論中最能反映傳統文化特徵的範疇之一, 以緣情感物、借景抒情的美感心理方式,濃縮了藝術創造的奥秘,其含意的演變、擴展呈現出歷史與邏輯相一致的特點。
