AB - 中國古典文學批評至魏晉南北朝就開始展開多樣多彩的文學論,其中有一個引起我們注目的就是用味字來品評詩文的談論,卽味論。這味論是以古代的飮食文化爲基礎,從魏晉南北朝到淸代逐漸成爲中國古代文論的主要內容之一。在整個味論的歷史上,本文要探討的魏晉南北朝卽屬於形成期。要論此時期的味論時,使用從來硏究家一般多用的‘詩味論’這個術語,還不如代之以‘文味論’更妥當,因爲後者能包括詩與賦、文章等整個文體,更能槪括此時期的味論。自從先秦時期就已經以味喩音樂,以味論思想,經過漢代至魏晉南北朝, 以味論思想、論音樂、論書法、論繪畵、論文學成爲普遍的文化現象,尤其由於此時飮食文化與宴飮文學的發達,以及文人們對文學的存在與審美特質的自覺,味論開始進入文學領域,就産生文味論。梳理這個時期的有關文味的談論,其主要內容大抵可分爲如下幾點,卽文味的性格,文味與體裁,文味與作家,文味的創作,文味的品賞。魏晉南北朝的文人重視文味,將它視爲文學的審美特質, 探討文味與體裁、文味與作家個性之關係。對於文味之創作,魏晉南北朝時期文人大都重視情感的表出,强調文質幷重,還把文味論落實到具體的作法之中,注意文味與章法、聲律、對偶、文辭的關係。對於文味的品賞, 就提起諷味、硏味、耽味。如上面所述,魏晉南北朝時期的文味論呈現出與以前相比不同的新的相貌與成就。此時期的文味論主要以劉勰與鍾嶸爲代表,劉勰所論比鍾嶸更廣泛更細密。從整個文味論的歷史上言,魏晉南北朝的文味論承前啓後,繼承先秦與漢代以味喩音樂、以味論思想,給與後代的文味論以很大的影響。
