ABSTRACT

This study aims to provide foundational materials for effective Chinese idiom education. Based on quantitative research methods, we analyzed 380 educational vocabulary words in the <Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education>. We identified the characteristics of educational vocabulary words through multi-faceted analyses such as presentation by grade, structure type and emotional color, Chinese characters, corpus analysis, and Sino-Korean comparisons. We also presented points for attention when conducting related education in the future and suggestions for further discussion through future research. We expect that this study will contribute to the advancement of Chinese idiom education and related research.
