ABSTRACT

Under the backdrop of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the era of digital transformation, this study presents the possibility and necessity of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into international Chinese language education for foreigners. It analyzes the current utilization of AI in international Chinese education and proposes directions for improvement to build a future-oriented intelligent education system. AI can promote the intelligent development of international Chinese education by providing technical support for personalized learning. In this study, we investigated and analyzed 148 Chinese learning applications that currently support international Chinese education. The results indicate that the overall intelligence level of these applications is relatively low, revealing a need for improvement in the depth of AI technology application, integration, and usability. Therefore, in the new educational environment of international Chinese education, it is necessary to comprehensively strengthen the capacity for AI integration and to establish a future-oriented smart education system.
