AB - Jürgen Moltmann explores a wide range of theological themes, including eschatology, ecclesiology, Christology, and pneumatology, and is particularly recognized as a theologian of hope. This paper aims to analyze how Moltmann’s ethics of hope serves as a foundation for his discourse on human rights and to apply this framework to the issue of the exclusion of forcibly displaced persons. Moltmann’s hope is a redemptive hope, anticipating the realization of ultimate freedom and justice, and is closely tied to his eschatological ecclesiology. Human dignity and the protection of human rights are central themes in Moltmann’s theology, with a focus on the liberation of the marginalized. His ethics of hope and human rights discourse provide critical insights for overcoming migrant exclusion, xenophobia, and human rights violations. This study seeks to explore the potential for transformative change through these perspectives.
