ABSTRACT

After the Fourth Industrial Revolution, AI has had a great influence on human life. However, in the AI era, the flexibility and instability of labor are accelerating and intensifying. The solution to labor problems comes from a new understanding of labor, the humanization of labor, and the humanization of society. Existing labor ethics evaluates the value of labor based on necessary and wage labor. Now, it is necessary to aim for respect for value-oriented labor, improvement of inhumane working conditions, and formation of humane working conditions at the social level. The Bible and Theology have emphasized the importance of ‘real freedom’. Freedom for the other is the theological basis of ‘real freedom’, and healing and care for the socially weak is a form of value-oriented labor. Humans participate in God’s new creative actions through labor. Here, respect for value-oriented labor, reform of inhumane working conditions, and basic income based on social policies for the weak are very persuasive. The new Christian labor ethics practiced to solve labor problems in the AI era cannot be overemphasized.
