ABSTRACT

This study critically examines the structural crisis of church education within the technological paradigm and proposes an ontological reconstruction of Christian education in the age of AI. It argues that the crisis is not merely methodological or ethical, but fundamentally ontological and theological, concerning human identity, community, and the nature of the church. Employing Richard Osmer’s consensus model, this study presents faith-based small communities as a theological paradigm and reinterprets them as historical-eschatological communities. Within this framework, it reconstructs the aims, content, methods, roles of teachers and learners, and educational environment of Christian education, and emphasizes an integrated praxis of worship, education, fellowship, service, and mission within the theological structure linking the Kingdom of God, history, and the church. This study ultimately argues that the reconstruction of Christian education in the age of AI requires an ontological transformation grounded in SARAMDAUM.
