ABSTRACT

This study aims to propose the style contents that can be presented by using notices in reading textbooks for intermediate Korean for Academic Purpose(KAP) learners. In doing so, 27 academic notices from the top 3 universities(Kyunghee university, Sungkyunkwan university, Yonsei university) with the most international students were collected and analyzed. The results of the study revealed that, certain 'nouns' and verbs 'noun+hada(하다)' were frequently used in the academic notices, and that the use environment of sentences with '-ㅂ니다/습니다' differs from sentences with noun or nominalizer ending. Also, fixed expressions, connective endings, and auxiliary particles that frequently appear in notices were organized. Through the results of this study, we proposed that there is a need to help learners' strategic reading by presenting these style contents in reading textbooks.
