ABSTRACT

This study began with the problem consciousness that the changing writing environment in the digital age requires the need for structure and representation of writings suitable for the digital environment. To this end, I explored e xplanatory writing e ducation m ethods u sing “newsletters” as a direction for writing education in the digital age, and examined the possibility by applying them to actual classes. As a s pecific e ducational m ethod, based o n the self-question model (QUS4PER) proposed by Fox among the resource-based learning models, it was reorganized into the stage of ‘planning-production-sharing’. In the planning stage, the target and theme selection-purpose and topic setting-information collection-information selection-information composition-colleague feedback was conducted, and in the production stage, information was expressed and checked, and in the sharing stage, the results were shared through comments. After analyzing learners' writings and survey results, the educationalmethod proposed in this study found educational implications in that it was first possible to expand information while encountering new and diverse information, secondly to check one's writings and comments, and thirdly to build confidence and understand the genre features of writing.
