ABSTRACT

A study on North Josun novels produced many good results, but many parts of it are still left as empty space. One of the direct reasons is as follows: The novels were difficult to approach because they were domestically classified as ‘special materials’ and because they were abroad scattered in Japan or China, USA, Russia and others. Because it was difficult to secure the materials, the study produced many good results, but had even the character that various errors were infinitely repeated. Therefore, in this text, I presented that it was necessary not only to excavate their original texts and correct their errors but also to examine their adaptations, study the typical canons named on a period-by-period basis, study the placement and replacement of North Josun canons through their elimination and recall or further restore the desire of North Josun society. I also tried to say that it was urgent to make the joint study where a great number of researchers participated for the restoration. Also, a study on North Josun literature is being made in various directions. It is also necessary to make an in-depth study of it out of the frame called a national state on the big frame called ‘South and North Korean relations-East Asian relations-international relations’. The writer thinks that it is possible to form the basis for clarifying the entangled twin relations among North Josun literature forming one axis of Korean literature, further, South-North Korean literature and Korean literature from the viewpoint of the big frame called ‘dynamics of international interface’. Also, I wonder if it is possible to construct the general topography not only of North Josun literature but of South-North Korean literature, further, of Korean literature when clarifying Korean literature in the big frame called ‘dynamics of international interface’.
