AB - This paper is aim to investigate recent studies of sino-korean literature in the North Korea. Especially this paper focused on the studies since 2005. The trend of recent studies in the North Korea have attached great importance to the "literary criticism of Juche" which is based on "Juche idea"(it means self-reliance and independence in the politics, economy, culture, ideology). The literary criticism of Juche is based on the principle which emphasize the creative combination of national literary forms and socialist ideology. Recent studies of the North Korea have searched for national characteristics of sino-korean literature in accordance with Juche criticism. These studies continually emphasize patriotic sentiments,people's virtue, national life style, beauty of homeland which were expressed in the literary works. There is an increasing tendency to propagate ideology related to campaigns against foreign invasions or foreign powers and to inspire national consciousness or the pride of the Korean people.
