ABSTRACT

Ultimately, the purpose of this study is to identify the origin of Kim Dong In’s novel and organize a transformation process. Through this it is possible to extract meaning and aspects of differentiation of Kim Dong In’s text. Until now this subject has not been studied seriously. Also there was no study on the aspects of differentiation of Kim Dong In’s text. This means the need for this research. Kim Dong In wrote 15 novels, and 6 of these were adapted. Especially the title was changed frequently. The Young men(1930) was retitled the Whalminsook(1950), and the time to fall big tree(1936) was retitled the Jesungdae(1938), and retitled the Gyeonhwon(1940). The Is passion contagious(1939) was retitled the passion(1946), the autumn night story of Nakwang castle(1935) was retitled the setting sun of dynasty(1941). The giant moves(1935) was retitled the great Suyang(1941) and finally retitled the great king Suyang(1948). The landlord of rotten earth(1944) was retitled the rotten earth(1946), and retitled the Euljimundeok(1948).
