ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyze the actual status of the book review contest conducted by the university, and to present the current college student's interest in books and the selection of books recommended for culture, and how to develop them. This is a practical paper in the form of a report for the contest held in the Central Library of Sungshin Women's University in 2018. Today's college students are a generation familiar with video and Internet culture. They are also enjoying the day in the fascination of the dynamics and conveniences these cultures offer. But it should be noted that the basis for expressing all cultures is writing. Text culture is newspapers, magazines, books. Electronic newspapers, electronic magazines, and e󰠏books cannot exist without text. No matter how interesting and informative a movie is, you can't find one without a scenario. Therefore, literacy culture, reading is important. Text and video cultures are complementary. It is because the lines and the images are complementary to each other and give us information.
