AB - This paper, in trying to develop mentally inherit achievements from previous studies, crystallizes ‘maleness’ by analyzing the meanings of maleness-associated words and arranging their common and distinctive meanings. As a result, Ssikssikhata ‘to be valiant’ is analyzed as [invincible spirit] [high spirits], Yongkamhata ‘to be brave’as [invincible spirit] [immobility], Tanhohata ‘to be firm’ as [invincible spirit] [exclusion], Taypemhata ‘to be large-hearted’ as [invincible spirit] [magnanimity], Kanginhata ‘to be persevering’ as [invincible spirit] [physical healthiness] [endurance], Tangtanghata ‘to be dignified’ as [invincible spirit] [physical healthiness] [fairness], Numrumhata ‘to be dashing’ as [invincible spirit] [physical healthiness][fairness] [dignity], Hwenchilhata ‘to be strapping’ as [physical healthiness] [height], Kencanghata ‘to be robust’ as [physical healthiness] [skeleton], Kangkenhata ‘to be vigorous’ as [physical healthiness] [skeleton] [strong foundation], and Mesissta ‘to be chic’ as [evaluation]. In future, it is expected that the maleness-associated words can find their places with linguistic elements of sex discrimination between male and female generally examined.
