A study of an introductory lecture on Chinese Classics targeting on a Sino-Korean education’s students

ABSTRACT

This article is a case study of an introductory lecture on Chinese Classics targeting on students of a Sino-Korean education department. Before starting the lecture, this introduces the results that a survey of students’ demand for lecture operation was carried, describes the designed lecture goal and operational method according to such demand, and, after students conducted a variety of tasks with colleagues, they reported the result and feeling of their task performance. <Basic Chinese Classics>, the subject of analysis in this article, is a subject having character of an introductory Chinese Classics lecture. It aims to provide the basic Chinese Classics knowledge necessary for majoring in a Sino-Korean education. It can be a lecture providing basic knowledge of each section of the major to learn students are scheduled to learn. The lecture is composed of the lecture by a professor and the one by a student. Students was able to gratify curiosity about their major to some extent through presentation, and to increase familiarity with Chinese literature by learning diverse learning information necessary for a Sino-Korean education department. The meaning of this study can be said to provide an idea of an introductory Chinese Classics lecture which is expected to be opened in most of Sino-Korean education departments.
