A philosophical approach to a criticism of <Patrilocality Songs> - With Intermediation of Filial piety and Ethics -

I might say that this article attempted conversion to new viewpoints to the things which have been implicitly agreed upon or repeated as I reflectively consider them. As we all know, there are lots of problems involved in the thematic consciousness which have been consistently claimed by patrilocality songs and literary values and status which have been hoped to be granted therefrom. Therefore, the methodological introspection through a certain critical mind is indispensible whether it is from any specific viewpoint or higher one. As a part of such efforts, I was looking for the factors generating biased evaluation in the existing value evaluation from the ethical attitude in External shape of the spirit of filial piety of the doers, and thus I sought methodological exploration focusing on such factors. It has been known that the consistent evaluation in the past defined most instances of daily difficulties faced by daughters-in-law, who were the principal players of patrilocality, as suppressed life and implicitly advocated their lamenting of misfortune and desperate condemnation resulting from missing of such principal life. This can be pointed out as the issues overlooked in past as filial piety or ethical attitudes or responsibilities were not investigated and examined. The characteristics of oral literature and genre represented by <Sijp Sari Norae>, the extremely popular and realistic characteristics, are significant elements in the recognition process. However, it is necessary to discuss how much of probable justification can be secured before discussing the genre based premise for it is a sensitive issue in relation to literary criticism. Therefore, for the purpose of denouncing the unethical sense and attitude of daughters-in-law, the narrators in the stories, with such a critical mind, I investigated by raising the concept of ‘ethical virtue’ of Aristotle, moderation which the extension and ground of such concept, and the problem of lacking self-control opposing thereto. That could be defined through the virtueless life of the doers who did not choose the good side of personality, the base of ethical virtue by losing their capability of exercising rational discretion and deviation from moderation which internally defines the optimal states in human relations. I also contributed to introspection of the filial piety and ethical senses of the doers by complementing the concepts of the said ethical virtues and moderation through discussion in relation to the problems of self-control and lacking of self-control and attribution of ethical responsibilities derived therefrom. In the result, the interpretation and ascription of meaning which had to be somewhat blind to what has been agreed in the past need following reconsideration. Just lamenting over patrilocality of daughters-in-law lacking ethical responsibilities and limitation or filial piety and ethical sense of community resulting from difficulties in patrilocality, not any grudge or resignation against patrilocality or despair caused by hardship, may belong thereto, and this may be the introspective conclusion at the ethical level.

A Study on Reinforcing the Tutor's Ability in Mentoring for the Multicultural Students

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of the tutor in “mentoring for the Multicultural students” who have a multicultural background or are North Korean refugees. Also, it aims to contrive a solution in the reinforcement of the tutor's ability within the mentoring program. Inha University, located in Incheon, utilizes graduate students who major in multicultural education as tutors to perform the mentoring project aimed for students who have a multicultural background or are North Korean refugees. In order to achieve the goal of this study, we set up the following two questions as our research problems: 1) What is the rightful role and capacity of a tutor? and 2) How can the system be improved to reinforce the tutor's capacity? According to the results, the role of the tutor is to vitalized the mentoring relationship between the manager and mentor. The tutor should support the tasks of the manager by confirming and passing on the information necessary for managing the system, keeping track of the mentor's operation performance, and encouraging the mentor's active participation. In short, tutors can provide help in the difficulties that occur to mentors in the process of studying with and giving mental guidance to the mentees and in the relationship between the mentees and their teachers at school. Therefore, the capacities needed for tutors to perform such roles are leadership as a manager, ability as a mentor, the ability to control conflicts, self-efficacy and responsibility. We discovered that tutors were going through diverse difficulties such as lack of perception of their roles as tutors, uncertainty of their capacities, absence of long-term systematic information on the progress of the mentoring project, and problems in the relationship with mentors. As a result, to strengthen the tutor's capabilities, the following actions are necessary: orientation on the tutor's role, recognition of the tutor's role to mentors, arrangement of a manual on the role of the tutor, provision of long-term systematic mentoring information, and the exchange of information through periodic meetings.

A study on the Practice Process of Mentoring about Multicultural Students by University Students

The purpose of this study is to analyze the practice process based on the experiences of university students who have participated in the mentoring of multicultural students. To do it, from May to September of the year 2015, in-depth interviews were conducted with 14 university students who participated in multicultural mentoring, then their cases were analyzed. The result of the research is as follows. The practice process of multicultural mentoring was expanded to ‘thrilling stage’, ‘getting to know stage’, ‘sharing stage’, ‘conflict stage’, accomplishing stage’ and ‘widening stage’. First, the thrilling stage comes after applying to the mentoring program, passing the interview and being selected as a university student, the time of anticipating mentoring and waiting to meet the multicultural student. Second, the getting to know stage is the rapport stage which includes meeting the multicultural student with whom the multicultural mentoring will be done, comprehending the multicultural student’s personality, learning situation as well as environment, and developing a relationship with the multicultural student. Third, the sharing stage is when practical activities such as learning activities, experience activities, emotional activities, counselling activities take place with the multicultural student. Fourth, the conflict stage takes place as the mentoring progresses and university students face conflict situations when the multicultural student does not show up or when mentoring activities do not go according to the university student’s plan. Fifth, the accomplishing stage is when university students see various changes in multicultural students through mentoring, and university students themselves have a feeling of accomplishing something. Sixth, the widening stage, is when university students see how through mentoring activities, their values about voluntary service and practice change, and they have interest in voluntary service or through other social activities their civic consciousness is developed and their practice is expanded. Thus, the social practice process was shown in a spiral form with six stages closely related to each other, and was continuously expanding. In this way, through multicultural mentoring, university students, who participated in multicultural mentoring, got the chance to raise the value of their life, and established a healthy civic consciousness and the sense of community. Thus, it is expected that through mentoring the foundation for multicultural students to live as healthy citizens will be provided.

A Study on Adolescent's protective factors and risk factors of HYO Consciousness

This study of adolescents self󰠏esteem and parenting behaviors, peer relationships on school adjustment by examining the impact on school adjustment factors to be identified, as well as the academic basis and students to engage in school life satisfaction the establishment of policies that can be performed to allow. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Background variables first in the self󰠏esteem, parenting behaviors, peer relationships, School Life Adjustment did not differ. In other words, one high school, two grade boys' self󰠏esteem, parenting behaviors, peer relationships, school life adjustment by the background variables did not differ. Second, self󰠏esteem, affecting school life adjustment. Self󰠏esteem in school life adjustment analysis of the impact of high school, two grade male students with low self󰠏esteem factor of a hypothetical self󰠏esteem, social self󰠏esteem, school self󰠏esteem had a significant impact on school life adjustment. In general, however, self󰠏esteem did not have a significant effect. The third parenting behaviors affected school life adjustment. Parenting behaviors in the school life adjustment analysis of the impact of high school, two grade male students with lower factor of parenting inconsistency, abuse, affectionate significant impact on school life adjustment can be interpreted. However, director, reasoning, excessive expectations, excessive interference, harassment, did not affect the affections. The fourth peer relationships affected school life adjustment. Peer relationships in the school life adjustment analysis of the impact of high school, two grade male students with lower factor of peer recognition and caring relationships, conflict resolution had a significant impact on school life adjustment. Conflict and betrayal, books and entertainment, help and patience, mutual intimacy did not have a significant effect. This study of high school, two grade boys were conducted with 178 people. Thus, the research scope is somewhat biased hagieneun generalize the results of this study have certain limitations. The future of the country that the data can be generalized to apply sophisticated research designs and methods are expected to be further studied. To increase the students' school life adjustment of the student self󰠏esteem, parenting behavior, and the impact of the student's peer relationships between variables in more detail the relationship will have to be found. Based on these results, the more satisfied the students to engage in school policy is hoped to be taken
