ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of parent-child communication and hyo consciousness on youths' self-esteem. The subjects were 100 Korean youths and 101 Mongolian youths. The analysis results are as follows. First, self-esteem was higher in Mongolian youths, and Korean youth were higher in hyo consciousness and parent-child communication. Second, in Korean youths, communication and hyo consciousness did not affect self-esteem. In Mongolian youths, self-esteem in open-type and problem-type sub-factors of hyo consciousness(-) and communication (+) It has been shown to affect. Third, there were differences between countries in the effect of hyo consciousness and communication on self-esteem.
