AB - The purpose of this study was to actually analyze criteria to distinguish the left from the right. To ccomplish this purpose, 500 teachers of elementary schools and secondary schools were sampled. And excepting 86 not good responsive questionnaires, 414 good responsive questionnaires were used finally. As a tool of investigation, questionnaires about characteristics of the left and the right were used. And as processing of data, factor analysis were used. The result of this study is as follow. The result of factors analysis were divided two kinds, the left and the right. And the characteristics of the left included innovation, equality, freedom, inclusion, and the characteristics of the right included tradition, inequality, authority, exclusion. These results meant that the construct validity extracted from theoretical literatures on the left and the right was explained empirically very well.
