ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to examine what effect picture book page breaking activity, movement activity and naming activity using MeFOT has on young children's creativity and difference in that activity according to those children's gender, For the purpose, 80 young children were sampled. The device used to measure those children's creativity is the Korean TTCT(Figure) B, an adaptation by Kim Young Chae(2002) of the Torrance Test Creativity Thinking (TTCT, revised in 1990) Findings of the study can be summarized as follows. First, picture book page breaking activity, movement activity and naming activity using MeFOT is effective in improving young children's creativity as a whole, but the difference of effects among for types activity is not significant. Second, only movement activity and naming activity using MeFOT is effective in improving young children's fluency and naming activity using MeFOT is effective in improving young children's elaboration.
