AB - This paper outlines the study of history of the Korean Provisional Government in Chinese academic circles and reviews the academic footprint of Professor Shi Yuanhua at Fudan University, a representative researcher on the history of the Korean Provisional Government in China. This article also examines how the Korean Provisional Government Memorial Hall located in China is currently presented and how the related places are being described. Research the history of the Korean Provisional Government in China has driven the study of the modern and contemporary history of Korea-China relations in Chinese academic circles since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and China in 1992. Large volumes of related data are housed in China and associated historical sites are spread around the country as most of the patriotic activities of the Provisional Government were carried out in China. Therefore, with a close cooperation between the Korean and Chinese academic circles, it was possible to make progress in the study on the history of the Korean Provisional Government. In addition to this progress, the Korean Provisional Government played a major role in strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two countries as a historical symbol of the Korea-China joint war against Japan. However, research on the history of the Korean Provisional Government has not made any progress from the past, which shows the change in Korea-China relations. This reflects not only the reality, but it also implies abundant research achievements that have already accumulated. To overcome the immediate difficulties and vitalize research on the history of the Korean Provisional Government, it is important to note that the research on the history of the Korean Provisional Government has a practical significance in providing the foundation for developing friendship and advancing cooperation between Korea and China. In addition, it is necessary to share research achievements between the Korean and Chinese academic circles by establishing a database as well as a platform for interactive research on the history of the Korean Provisional Government.
