    Chun, Kwang Ho | 2021, 64(3) | pp.5~20 | number of Cited : 0
    Abstract PDF
This paper examines the Christian attitude toward war and the violence as a result of the Crusades over 1000years. Each crusader had different and personal motives, but the ones that this paper examine are the most common ones. The conclusion reached from the examination was that the motives for the majority of the Crusaders involved in the war were that they participated in the expedition for religious beliefs, not for personal gain and colonization of Islamic states. However, institutionally, the gains made through the Crusades solidified the importance of Christianity in Western society and greatly changed the church's attitude toward violence.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of city bus policies. City buses are a means of transportation closely related to the lives of the common people. The city bus fare has been restrained from increasing for the sake of stabilizing the economy of the common people. As a result, the Quasi-Public Operation System was implemented, in which the portion of the operating deficit was filled with public funds. Through the implementation of the Quasi-Public Operation System, local governments could maintain the policy that guarantees the transportation rights of the disadvantaged, operation of low-floor buses for the disabled, and discount on fares for the elderly, children and youth, etc., as part of realizing a welfare society for the underprivileged in our society. In the case of BRT, the purpose is punctuality and promptness, and efficient operation to increase the number of users can bring positive effects. If the punctuality and promptness of city buses are secured, there will be an inducement effect for users. For the analysis, 71 non-BRT section routes in Busan and 12 routes in the experimental group BRT section were selected and PSM analysis and Fixed effect analysis were performed. In the effect analysis of the BRT section in Busan, the number of users increased by 73,600 for three years from 2017 to 2019 in the case of PSM near-neighbor matching, and by 73,300 in kernel matching. In logarithmic revenue, 0.09 (9%) increased for PSM near-neighbor matching, and the same 0.09 (9%) increased for kernel matching.

One of the characteristics of the Korean language is the various and complex system of numeral unit bound nouns. Most Korean numeral unit bound nouns are formed of Korean native character or formed of Chinese character, however, the number of bound nouns composed with loanwords have increased sharply after modernization of Korea. Since many bound nouns composed with loanword tend to express a whole different unit that had not been included in the Korean language system, they were borrowed and settled rapidly in Korean. Numeral unit bound nouns of loanwords do not combine with foreign language words or Korean native words, but with numeral nouns of Chinese character like "sip(十) seynthimithe(centimeter)". It demonstrates that number of bound nouns composed with loanword have been established in Korean language system. This study uses quantitative method to analyze and compare "khillo(kilo)" and "milli(milli)”, "pheseynthu(percent)" and "phulo(pro)". They are numeral unit bound nouns composed with loanword, which are widely used in synchronic modern Korean language. "Khillo(kilo)" and "milli(milli)" are each used as a unit for length and weight, and they each have the meaning of 1,000 and 1/1000. However, "milli(milli)" is almost never used as a unit for weight in Korean. "pheseynthu(percent)" and "phulo(pro)" can be treated as a synonym in dictionary, but they can be verified through the collocation analysis that two different words with different usages. Based on such results, the study will further discuss extensively about the aspects and characteristics of a numeral unit bound nouns composed with loanword.
