AB - This study is to examine the current acute situations triggered by the Distortion of History of the Goguryeo Dynasty by China. Instead of simply surveying nowadays scholarly discourses are revolving around it, however, the main goal of this is to propose our response to it. Compared to the past historical perception, on the basis of which China had understood her national history on the ground of the present territory, its current perception is to expand the scope of Chinese History. In accordance with this, I shifted historical perception, China clams that the History of the Goguryeo Dynasty should be part of their own Chinese History. Studies of the Goguryeo Dynasty History in China are now pursued under the massive research projects guided by political purpose. In those regards, the results gained from those may serve as theoretical frameworks for designing the Future Chinese Policies in the East Asia. In addition, in spite of the recent compromise between China and Korea regarding the History of the Goguryeo Dynasty, the historical dispute on the Goguryeo Dynasty between two nations is not completely resolved yet. Moreover, it is clear that China will continue the research on the Goguryeo Dynasty according to her political intention. That is the very reason why we should upgrade our level of research on the Goguryeo Dynasty.
