AB - This study compared and analyzed the country-specific images of Korea, China, Japan, and North Korea in the Russian media. Keyword correlation analysis was performed by text mining. In addition, relative image correlations between countries were derived. As a result of the study, Korea is recognized as a diplomatic, military, and security partner for Russia. The image of Korea is neutral with some indifference. China is recognized as an economic and diplomatic partner. Overall, the positive/friendship image is very strong, but there are also negative/critical images depending on the case. Japan is a diplomatic and economic partner and has a slightly stronger image of positive/friendliness than negative/criticism. However, the image of negative/criticism is very strong on issues related to Russia. North Korea is recognized as a diplomatic, military and security partner. North Korea has a strong image of a military power and a poor country.
