ABSTRACT

Currently the academic research activities are mostly dominated by the research trend ‘Convergence’. Unfortunately the convergence are misused and even abused in various field including education without being reflected on the inherent content of it. This misuse and abuse of convergence implicates the danger to mislead the development of education as well as of academic research. In fact the convergence as has been first issued since 2002 in the NSF Report “Convergent technologies to improve human performance” has a very specified meaning in that the cutting edge technologies represented by Nao-,Bio-,Info and Cogno technologies can be converged on the material at nano scale. Seen from humanistic perspectives this NBIC convergence which has promoted mainly from economical reason to maximize the economic performance of human since then contains various kind of basic problems which require a critical reflection. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the basic problems implicated in the NBIC convergence, proposing the new way of academic collaboration based on the collaborative creativity.
