AB - For the study of many grammatical phenomena can be studied from the form, can also function studies, simply formalism research has focused on the psychological aspects of language, using the means of description and interpretation of the logical structure of language, emphasizing the commonality of language, functionalism studies focus on language, social and communicative function of language, attention to context, language use and function of the factors, attention to the description of language structure analysis. This study described the function of language is the language of Marxism as a form of communication, emphasizing the tools of language features, designed by language in social communication functions should be implemented to describe and explain the characteristics of the language on all levels. This paper describes the functionalist theory of grammar as well as in China's development research, pointed out the problems and shortcomings, suggests future research directions.
