ABSTRACT

This article compared and analyzed the existing discussions on the love of Confucius and Mencius among the Hundred Schools of Thought based on the concept of 'resentment'. Until recently, in previous studies related to the hundred schools of thought, discussions on humans mainly focused on the concept of 'love' and analyzed the meaning of love by focusing on the meaning of 'resentment' from comparative analysis. The Hundred Schools of Thought overlooked that the discussions related to human love of the confessors started from'resentment' and noted that the meaning of resentment is not just stopping the relationship between me and the other, but always in practical action.
