ABSTRACT

This study aims to utilize the hybrid education culture in universities based on the case of hybrid education in University's Chinese linguistics major class. As a result of conducting hybrid education for the 7 weeks of a total of 15 weeks of classes hybrid education had the following characteristics. First of all, its convenience. Students mentioned as an advantage that it is convenient to participate in online classes and that they can take classes anywhere and as a disadvantage they mentioned the inconvenience of having to come to the field when participating in offline classes. Second, it is difficult to communicate. Students participating in online classes cited the difficulty of hearing the sound of offline class room and the difficulty of emotional exchange with instructors. Students participating in offline classes mentioned the ease of communication with instructor who teaches offline. Thirdly, it is the concentration of the lecture. Hybrid education is a form of education that combines online and offline, so it is difficult for all participating students to focus on the class. However, despite these limitations, hybrid education will expand further in universities in the future due to its high expectations such as the use of domestic universities in major and liberal arts lectures, international exchanges between foreign universities, and the possibility of attracting various learners.
