AB - The Kakao Talk incident provided an opportunity to affirm the influence of online platforms. Despite their recent emergence, these platforms have become an indispensable element of daily life. However, social consensus on online platforms remains inadequate. And there is controversy surrounding them. In this circumstance, the question can be raised about how Confucianism can help, and whether it is possible to apply a Confucian approach to the management of online platforms. I would like to explore the possibility of adopting a Confucian mindset to the platform management. To this end, I first clarify what is the Confucian attitude to dealing with new situations. Next, I demonstrate that there are similar attitudes to the Confucian one in the operation of platforms. Lastly, by comparing platforms, I illustrate that platforms can suitably respond to the users adopting a Confucian approach; through it, I confirm the possibility of applying a Confucian attitude to platform management.
